Nissan 370Z Nismo vs. Wingsuit at Swiss Alps. When you talk about wingsuit and Swiss Alps, the combination does sound a bit dangerous, especially if you are trying to jump from Susten Pass area. The Susten Pass area is well-known from the original Italian Job, Bond and many other movies. Jumping from that area with a wingsuit is a solid proof of bravery. And Dave Barlia made it! For the Nismo vs. Wingsuit campaign, he jumped with a wingsuit at 4501 feet of altitude from Swiss Alps. And Dave managed to reach 210 km/h. Many people are scared to reach 210 km/h with their cars and Dave reached this speed while falling down from Swiss Alps and with no brakes! Dave Barlia was equipped with a telemetry device that shows his heartbeat rate and other biometric information during the race. It is called JukeRide. JukeRide enables to improve his performance for the following races and also a motivation to push a bit more!
In the meantime, Peter Pyzera started to race with him by the Nissan 370Z Nismo. Driving a car down a mountain cannot be that hard. Believe me, if you lose your concentration on the twisty roads of Swiss Alps, you will be rolling over until you reach Rome! The Nissan 370Z Nismo is based on a 370Z that is not my favourite car. However, the Nismo is a bit different than the normal 370Z. This car is powered by a 3.7-lt engine with 340 HP and 371 Nm of torque. As you expected, Nismo is rear wheel drive and capable of reaching 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h! I want to emphasise on the top speed, on the twisty roads of Swiss Alps, the top speed is not something you should aim for, what you should aim for is the brakes! And Nissan 370Z Nismo is equipped with brakes that are capable of stopping.
Who won the race? You should watch the video :)
