Mercedes E63 AMG Coupe and Cabrio. If you end in this blog, you probably haven’t visited a Mercedes dealer or like me never thought that Mercedes never manufactured E63 AMG Coupe and Cabrio models.
Mercedes is quite addicted to AMG range extension. There used to be R63 AMG, now GL 63 AMG. And I never thought that Mercedes would never stop producing E63 AMG Coupe or Cabrio, but they did!
I never read any articles or press releases regarding to this decision. But I can assume that, Mercedes could not compete with BMW M3 and Audi RS4/RS5 that well and they decided to drop the AMG range with the new E-Class Coupe and Cabrio models.
Honestly, I didn’t miss their over tuned exhaust noises! Sorry, AMG engines too loud!
By the way, don't confuse the AMG bodykit E-Class Coupe and Cabrio. That's only bodykit, there is nothing more. The engine is not AMG!
