Estate Mercedes CLS :/

Mercedes decided to reveal the estate CLS. It was introduced as a concept car (CLS Shooting Brake), but I never thought they will put into production. Estate CLS will be the most senseless car on the market, does not offer something different except a huge boot space. Also it looks a bit ugly!

Like BMW 5GT, Mercedes R-Class; this new car will be another fail that will be remembered in the future. Estate CLS is being produced, just to produce. I don’t like to use this phrase, but I don’t see a reasonable point to own a four-door coupe estate car. Similar to R-Class, this idea seems brilliant on paper, probably will not work out in real life.

I am giving no more than %30 chance for success. Sorry!

You didn't read wrong, this is BMW 316i. Very unique, specially designed for emerging markets. And has 1,6-lt engine with 115 horsepower. Quite good performance.

Bentley SUV Press Release Mistake

Bentley is going to reveal an SUV in couple of years. I already mentioned this in my blog previously like many other journalist mentioned. It was very obvious that, Bentley will reveal an ultra luxury SUV to consumers, who are not satisfied with the Range Rover. Reasonable decision and they will definitely make lots of money!

However, they made a minor mistake during the press release recently. Bentley CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer said  “we will be first to use a 12-cylinder petrol engine in a luxury SUV. I like this idea; it makes clear whose car is the boss.” Actually he made a minor mistakes in this sentence, there was a 12-cylinder petrol powered SUV. And it is made by VW, the Touareg W12! From his point of view, Touareg is not in the same leauge with Bentley’s SUV and that is true, but he should have said ultra luxury.

Many consumers perceive Touareg as a luxury SUV, which is based on its price tag. Thus, Bentley’s SUV is an ultra luxury SUV. Not luxury!

Greenness for Green Cars

I am sure you all heard of green vehicles. Hybrids, electric and hydrogen powered ones. I am not going to argue, which of them is more cleaner or are they really environmental. But I will argue on something else! The colour. All these environmental cars are considered as green! Because, green is associated with the grass, tree, leafs and plants.

However, it is quite hard to spot a green car with green paint on! Have you ever think why manufacturers never offer green colour option for the green cars? Because, green colour looks terrible on a car! In my whole life, I have never seen a green painted car. It looks so catastrophic even the most desperate car manufacturer offered the green!

By the way, don’t confuse the green with British Racing Green. It is a totally different green, what I am trying to emphasise the green that is annoying and turns anything into ugly.

Mercedes M-Class and B-Class: Design Similarity

There is an unusual similarity between two new Mercedes models, M-Class and B-Class. The new M-Class looks brilliant from the front, but I cannot say the same for the rear end! The new B-Class looks like pretty much similar to the preceding model, but each angle of  is totally new, but you still have the similar look. Beside, B-Class offers state of art new technologies for its segments. Such; radar guided cruise control, collision prevention system.

When I was checking the rear end of the new M-Class, I realised that it looks similar to new B-Class. It sounds a bit weird, but M-Class has a very similar boot door to B-Class.  When I first saw the rear end, I remembered the B-Class immediately.

Clarkson with Emotional Tones

Don't misinterpret the title, he didn't appear in Pride and Prejudice! Actually, he is the voice of a video game's trail with an emotional tone. If you don't understand English, you might be thinking Clarkson is talking about love, happiness, emotions. But he was not, he transformed the emotional bond between the car and the human into emotional words with emotional tones.

Honestly, the footage is amazing and Clarkson did a great job! Actually, I never heard of this video game until now :)
